The IFA have recently announced that they will no longer be sending out individual boat stickers, as many Finn sailors now use multiple boats. Instead they plan to build a global database of members to check against at all events. The BFA Committee is considering if it would still be useful to have some form of membership card to prove membership and also to use with our commercial partners to claim discounts and other benefits.
It would be good to hear members feedback (by replying to this post) as to if you think an individual, numbered BFA membership card system would work, particularly to claim discounts when ordering equipment from our growing number of commercial partners, such as Suntouched Sailboats and sailmakers etc.
