We were delighted to announce the return of the North Sails Silver Finn Trophy for 2026, comprised of the 9 events listed on the calendar of the  2026 North Sails Super Series, with 2 discards if 7/8 events sailed and 1 discard if 5 or fewer events sailed, but you must count the National Championships to qualify. There will be significantly discounted sails for overall prize winners and also for a lucky winner who attends all events (to be drawn at the end of the series). The winner will also receive the prestigious Silver Finn Trophy, which dates from 1963. There will also be a new UK ranking in place, based on this series, which will be updated after each event.

The 2026 Spring ‘Mini’ series of one-day events to kick off the new season, with the silver box Creagh-Osborne trophy for the winner, is hosted by Burghfield SC, Bough Beech SC and Itchenor SC are shown in green on the calendar.

The IFA have indicated that the Open European Championship and the Finn Gold Cup may, in the future, accept sufficient entries to enable single fleet racing. This is likely to mean fleets of 120 or fewer. Consequently, the BFA now has a qualification process in place to enable sailors to qualify to attend these events. The IFA has not yet issued a ‘country quota’ based on the number of members in each country. Estimates for the UK range from 3 to 6 places. Full details of the qualification system are available here.

Blue-listed events are International Finn class regattas, and non-BFA events with Finn class racing are shown in red.
