Classic Finn Travellers Trophy 2020.

Last year the British Finn Association decided to boost the Classic Finn fleet by supporting a Classic Finn travellers series with a new trophy and a cash prize.

For the 2020 season the series will be supported again by the BFA with 4 events in the series. The series opener will be the BFA open at Bosham Sailing Club on 18/19 April, then we go to Hunts Sailing cCub for the CVRDA event on 9/10 May. The next event will be at Roadford Lake on 18/19 July and finally the BFA Inlands and Classic Finn Nationals at Northampton SC on 3/4 October.

Bosham provides the opportunity to explore the creeks of Chichester harbour so is ideal for Classics.  Hunts Sailing Club in Cambridgeshire is a small but very friendly venue which already has a number of Classic Finns among its membership.  Roadford Lake is very different, not only is it at the opposite end of the country in Devon but it is a vast expanse of water and has always attracted a good fleet of Classic Finns.

Come along and join the fun! Meeting other Finn Classic sailors and seeing other examples of these beautiful boats is always inspiring! Owners are always happy to pass on ideas, advice and techniques for restoring old boats and re-fitting them to take modern rigs, so take advantage of the great wealth of knowledge within the BFA Classic fleet.
